‘Honey, I flunked the kids’

Leed’s Amitybrew has combined a Belgian Golden Ale with Hilltop Honey to create a 7.4% ABV beer called ‘Honey, I flunked the kids. Amitybrew is marketing this as a half-term treat for parents who are juggling many different pressures during lockdown.

Richard Degnan, co-founder of Amity Brew Co and a father to two school aged children, said on Facebook: “I’ve got huge respect for all the parents out there juggling home-schooling with work and lockdown life. It’s so hard!

“We wanted to launch a sweet treat to act as a pat on the back to those home-schooling parents this half term. Put the phonics and maths away, crack open a beer and enjoy a few minutes of quiet time.”

Spirit manufacturers should think of doing the same thing with a special canned cocktail creation for parents.
