Eggo launches eggnog liqueur for Christmas

The Eggo waffle company, based in Michigan, US, has teamed up with craft distillery Sugarland’s Distilling Co. to create Eggo Nog Appalachian Sippin’ Cream, a rum-based liqueur with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Kellogg’s, the parent company of Eggo, announced earlier this week, that the company has created the eggnog liqueur to “elevate parents’ free time and give grownups a unique way to L’Eggo of the holiday stress this season”.

“We’re very excited to partner with an iconic brand like Eggo to create this fun and festive version of our popular Appalachian Sippin’ Cream,” said Greg Eidam, Sugarlands Master Distiller. “Our team at the distillery worked hard to ensure hints of cinnamon and nutmeg came through in the flavors, making every sip reminiscent of a perfectly toasted Eggo waffle. We’re confident this tasty twist on the classic holiday treat will have parents longing for their ‘evening me time,’ all holiday season long.”

Eggo Nog will be available in select retailers across the US throughout the Christmas period.

Sugarlands opened its downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee, distillery in March 2014. Earlier this year, the distillery became a partner of the Boston Red Sox baseball team, producing a ready-to-drink co-branded iced tea lemonade moonshine canned cocktail, unique to the New England market.
