Collaboration between craft distillery and craft brewer

One of the USA’s leading craft breweries, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co, has teamed with California’s St George Spirits to release Ruthless, a malt whiskey blended with spirits distilled from grains and hops.

In 2013 the two came together to distil Sierra Nevada’s Ruthless Rye IPA, which was blended with a portion of St George’s single malt whiskey and then laid down in new American oak and used French port casks.

There are 1,000 bottles available for purchase with a limit on two bottles per person.

Considering the number of craft brewers in the UK along with the number of distillers, this should be easy to duplicate here with the same fanfare.

Many consider St George Spirits, founded in 1983, as the father of the USA’s craft distilling movement.
