Whitebox Cocktails expands RTD range with new trio

Whitebox Cocktails, the British spirits brand is expanding its portfolio of full-strength classic cocktails with the launch of a Manhattan, White Russian and Whiskey Sour.

The company, which specialises in full-strength classic cocktails that are developed, blended and produced entirely in-house, said each new release is “bringing something new to the portfolio”.

The trio launch follows-on from news that the company has made its US foray with the launch of six cocktails. The drinks, which are available in 100ml cans, will be available across 12 US markets via Lighthouse Brands.

Comprising the new releases the Manhattan, which is a rich, spirit-forward combination of American whiskey, sweet vermouth and cocktail bitters. Dating back to 19th-century New York, the classic brings a distinctive whiskey-led serve to the Whitebox portfolio.

The UK’s first canned White Russian introduces a creamy, coffee-led classic to the range, combining vodka, coffee liqueur and cream. Its development drew on specialist cream liqueur expertise in Ireland to achieve the right balance of flavour and texture.

Completing the trio is the Whiskey Sour (£5.00, 22% ABV), which is one of the great American cocktail classics. Combining whiskey, lemon and cocktail bitters, it balances the richness of the spirit with bright citrus and a touch of sweetness.

Ben Iravani, co-founder of Whitebox Cocktails, said: “As Whitebox grows, we’re continuing to expand the range, but we’re very deliberate about what we add to it.

“The Manhattan, White Russian and Whiskey Sour are three very different classics, each bringing something new to the portfolio.

“The Manhattan alone has taken four years to bring to market because we wanted to source a whiskey that did the drink justice. That’s how we approach every new cocktail, by taking the time to get the ingredients, strength and balance right.”
