Paragon Brands announces new distribution deal

Paragon Brands, one of the UK’s leading premium drinks importer-distributors, has announces its new role as the exclusive distributor of Zamora Company spirits and liqueurs in the UK.

Established in 1945 and still a 100% family-owned Spanish drinks business, Zamora Company owns an internationally renowned portfolio of premium wines and spirits, including Licor 43 – the world’s fastest growing premium liqueur;  Martin Miller’s Gin – Spain’s leading premium gin; Villa Massa premium Italian Liqueurs; and Yellow Rose American Whiskey from Houston, Texas.

For Paragon Brands, this is the latest acquisition in a long line of major new brand distributions, following Żubrówka Vodka, the third-largest vodka brand worldwide and fastest-growing major vodka in UK retail, and Heaven’s Door whisky, Bob Dylan’s first and only consumer brand partnership in his 50-year career.

Chris Jones, Managing Director at Paragon Brands, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Zamora Company and its portfolio of premium spirits. At Paragon Brands, we thrive on partnering with premium and distinctive brands, offering UK consumers a unique experience in an ever-evolving market.

“Given their recent success and growth, Zamora’s catalogue of prestigious products has clearly struck a chord with consumers. This exceptional family of premium brands showcases their masterful blend of rich flavours, natural ingredients, and storied traditions. This perfectly aligns with our portfolio of pioneering brands, united by quality, substance, and a rich story to tell. We look forward to shaking up the UK market together.”

Blended with pure Icelandic spring water and the finest botanicals, Martin Miller’s Gin is widely recognized as the world’s first ‘super premium’ gin. Presenting a portfolio of products that includes Martin Miller’s Original, the mixologist’s favourite Westbourne and the cask-aged 9 Moons, plus the seasonal Summerful and Winterful varieties, the brand has continued to rise in popularity, with a 17% increase in sales during 2022.

Licor 43 is made to a 75-year-old secret family recipe of 43 natural ingredients and became a global million-case brand for the first time in November 2022.  The first range extension came in 2016 with Horchata vegan ‘cream’ liqueur, followed by Baristo in 2018 – a fusion of the essence of Licor 43 Original and coffee from the Canary Islands.  The brand is about to launch the eighth edition of its global Bartenders & Baristas Challenge coffee cocktail competition.

Jeremy Rockett, Area Manager UK & ROI at Zamora Company, added:  “Zamora Company has over 70 years of experience of selling and marketing top quality products around the world, and we look forward to Paragon Brands helping us, as Chris says, shake up the market a bit, and find our place in both at-home and on-premise consumption.”
