Celtic Whisky Distillerie launch Gwalarn Celtic Malt

French whisky brand, Celtic Whisky Distillerie is dropping a fresh new taste with the launch of its new single malt whisky, Gwalarn Celtic Malt.

The premium spirit is distilled at 40% ABV and joins the growing Celtic Whisky family, alongside the previously launched Gwalarn Celtic Whisky Blend and the distillery’s established French whiskys Glann Ar Mor and Kornog.

Founded in 1997 and situated in the heart of Tregor, Celtic Whisky Distillerie is one of France’s most well-known distilleries, A pioneer of French whisky, the distillery is dedicated to producing quality, authentic malt whisky, using traditional Celtic techniques passed down for centuries.

Gwalarn Celtic Malt boasts a rich and complex blend, combining Celtic tradition with the pure sea air of the distillery, located on the beautiful French coast of Britanny.

Distilled with 100% malt, Gwalarn originates from a rigorous selection of Scottish whiskies, with the character of German malts and the finesse of the best French single malts, formulated by the distillery’s expert Cellar Master.

To create Gwalarn’s remarkable taste, it is heated over an open flame for slow distillation, before ageing in Bourbon barrels by the distillery’s coast to preserve its natural colour. The final blend is slowly reduced with water from the area’s own spring, completing Celtic tradition across a beautiful seaside backdrop.

The result is a premium whisky with tasting notes of ripe fruit and vanilla, crafting an energetic and fruity palette for a blend like no other.

Chris Jones, Managing Director at Paragon Brands who distribute Gwalarn in the UK, said: “With 20 years of rich heritage and a renowned dedication to Celtic whisky, the launch of Gwalarn Celtic Malt Whisky solidifies Celtic Whisky Distillerie as a benchmark for French Whisky.

“French whisky is a fast-growing market, sculpted by its premium quality and distinctive blending. With each sip of Gwalarn Celtic Malt, you can taste its unique geographical origins, the force of the wind and maturation beside the seas.

“We’re sure that whisky fans will be swept away by this remarkable single malt.”
