World first online comparison site launched for whisk(e)y

One of the largest global online whisky communities, The Whiskey Wash, is relaunching as a price comparison site for whisky.

The new one stop shop is a direct response to the increasing consumer demand for premium and super premium whiskies and brings approved global retailers, auctioneers and distributors together with whisky enthusiasts across the world.

As of 2023, the global whiskey market is valued at approximately $69.5 billion by 2033, it is expected to reach around $121.4 billion[1]. The new platform is designed to help users buy bottles at the lowest price, and help retailers find consumers without having to battle with algorithms and ad spend.

With nearly 12,000 pages of content, including reviews, buying guides and new product launches, The Whiskey Wash is one of the largest ad-free whiskey platforms online and in April 2024 hit 491,000 visitors consuming more than 1,200,000 pages of content.

Mark Littler, Owner of The Whiskey Wash, said: “The whiskey market can be overwhelmingly complex and challenging to navigate. While most retailers and auctioneers provide excellent customer service and seamless order-to-delivery options, buyers often remain loyal due to the physical difficulty of browsing hundreds of online options.

“The Whiskey Wash features in depth insights and reviews on hundreds of global whiskey brands, offering whiskey novices and enthusiasts alike a way to discover new brands and research new purchases.

“We wanted to build on this offering with our new price comparison tool that takes away the hassle of endless searches and provides a transparent and user-friendly experience for both buyers and sellers.”
