‘Fourth key’ to have huge global growth

We all know the three main key categories in the alcohol business – spirits, beer and wine. But according to the world’s largest brewer, AB InBev, the ‘fourth category’ is where significant growth potential lies, reports Beverage Daily.

This category includes Ready to Drink (RTD) alcohol, canned cocktails, hard seltzers and flavoured malt beverages.

According to Euromonitor, these drinks are expected to grow by 45 percent between 2019 and 2024, and is estimated to bring in global sales of $58 billion by 2024.
