Crossip launches taster bottles and limited edition

A term that is overused throughout the drinks industry is ‘unique’ but there is no other way to describe Carl Anthony Brown’s non-alcoholic drink brand Crossip but unique, standing heads above any other in the non-alcoholic market since its introduction.

He is now adding onto to the existing flavours of Crossip with a limited-edition flavour, Rich Berry, as well as coming up with taster bottles, giving perspective drinkers a less expensive introduction to the main three flavours: Pure Hibiscus, Fresh Citrus, and Dandy Smoke.

Brown says that Rich Berry is the perfect winter warmer, featuring “luxurious rich florals of damson and blackberry, backed up with a brute force of sour cherry. These bold flavours are then intricately spiced with clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Weaved into this complex liquid are floral notes of raspberry, eucalyptus and the bitter notes of wormwood and gentian.”

“For Crossip’s first limited-edition flavour, our goal was to create a spirit that could be used to make delectable, full-bodied winter warmer cocktails.”

The Taster Collection allows drinkers to enjoy a sample of each of the distinct flavours in smaller, 20cl bottles. Along with the three Crossip flavours are two premium mixers from Artisan Drinks.

Crossip was founded in 2020 by award winning mixologist Brown. Inspired by his love for cocktails, his passion for fitness and support for mental health issues, he was driven to design a better tasting alcohol-free drink.

He told Distillers Journal that what sets Crossip apart from the majority in the non-alcoholic range is that he never set out to duplicate the exact taste of existing spirits. What interested him was duplicating the physical sensations from a real drink such as mouth feel and warming.

In a podcast interview with Distillers, Brown said that he spent around five years sampling full-alcohol spirits and cocktails and recording the drink’s physical sensations. He then worked with botanicals in creating the same sensations. He said
Crossip can then be used to create sophisticated tasting cocktails or simply added to a mixer to add depth and texture.
