Global premium drinks company, International Beverage, has appointed specialist PR agency, Stellar PR, as lead strategic PR and communications partner to work across its portfolio of Scottish brands including single malt whiskies Old Pulteney, Speyburn, Balblair, and premium gin Caorunn.
Following a three-way competitive pitch, Stellar PR will assume responsibility for all PR requirements including the development of the global media toolkits and active consumer/trade press offices in the UK, with additional markets to follow.
Stellar will play a key role in executing a series of new marketing programmes that are built to drive long-term growth as part of International Beverage’s brand expansion plans.
This appointment marks the group’s first retained PR relationship across the full Scottish drinks’ portfolio, having previously worked with varied independent agencies for individual brands. International Beverage is looking to increase overall brand awareness for the Group in the UK and US to highlight its dedication to support and grow drinks brands from around the world, worthy of global acclaim.
Stellar has put together a full team here including planners, creatives and dedicated account management alongside a partner team in the US, who will help deliver the strategy in the territory.
Global Digital, PR and Communication lead, Samantha Peter, from International Beverage said: “We were looking to consolidate our PR efforts with one agency that truly understood our ethos and the brands within our Scottish portfolio.
“We were incredibly impressed with Stellar PR’s credentials and extensive knowledge of both the media landscape and the spirits industry. Their creative prowess, experience and expansive network will enable us to amplify our brands’ voices worldwide as we seek to drive visibility. We are looking forward to developing our relationship into an effective, long-running partnership.
Louisa Ham, founder of Stellar Public Relations said: “What a fantastic end to the year for us. We’ve loved working with International Beverage Group for eight years and we’re thrilled we now can work with the wider group and its Scottish brands on an international stage.
“Our experience lies in promoting premium brands and the International Beverage Group is awash with them – they all have a unique story that we can’t wait to get out and tell both here and in the US.”
